Hi I'm Audrey!
I'm currently a junior at the University of Toledo majoring in media communications with minors in general business and marketing. In my time at UToledo, I have had the opportunity to involve myself in live sports production beginning in the spring of my freshman year. Working with ESPN+, I learned crucial skills in sports broadcasting filming a variety of sports. Through courses like Audio and Single Camera production, I gained hands-on experience in using Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe Audition, with the opportunity to host a show on on our school radio station 88.3 WXUT. In Media Production and Performance, I experienced what it is like in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes in a news setting. Outside of production and broadcasting, I also learned how to effectively use social media to market a brand or individual and implementing key marketing strategies. These courses led me to my first internship with Sports Girls Club as a content creator followed by a broadcast internship with the United Shores Professional Baseball League. Now, I am currently an intern for Toledo Athletics Communications and continue to gain knowledge and experience that I can't wait to share with you all!
My Story
Growing up I was surrounded by sports. From soccer, volleyball, cross-country, or basketball, my schedule was mainly school and whatever sports event I had that day. However, it was my love and passion for softball that guided me to where I am today. Throughout my childhood and beyond, my dad and I would spend our early summer nights watching the NCAA Women's College World Series, where my dream of broadcasting began. If I wasn't watching softball with my dad, I was watching the Detroit Tigers with my mom. This early exposure to sports and sports broadcasting inspired the drive and passion I have for sports media. From broadcasting, content creation, social media, and marketing I am excited to break into this industry and show fans the true meaning of sports.
